10 nights in the Magical Maldives and two very different resorts, Amilla Fushi and Jumeirah Vittaveli. Our last trip to the Maldives was over five years ago and we are looking forward to returning to this idyllic part of the world.
Our holiday started from the moment we left for the airport as we were transferred by chauffeur to the airport where we enjoyed faultless service on the Business Class flight with Emiratesvia Dubai.
First stop was the Jumeirah Vittaveli, upon arriving by their stunning luxury catamaran, we were greeted with traditional music, flowers and a refreshing drink. It was not long until we had immersed ourselves into all of the facilities of our stunning Sunrise Island Villa. The remainder of our stay consisted of sampling the award-winning Talise Spa, cycling around the island, watching the daily feeding of the manta rays and making our way around the restaurants and bars. Our first five nights in the Maldives was complete relaxation and just what we had imagined it to be.
Our second home for the remainder of our stay was the ultraluxuriousAmilla Fushiin the Baa Atoll where the resort has its very own time zone, allowing us an extra two hours to admire the sunset before we enjoyed a multi-course dining experience at Lonu, 8 courses of unique and delicious dishes that we loved so much we even bought the cook book. We stayed in the ultra-modern Lagoon House and fell in love with the design and style of the accommodation. We took full advantage of our private outdoor space and plunge pool. We spent the next few days of our stay trying our hand at paddle boarding and searching (successfully) for more tropical fish and even turtles.
We were sad to leave the Maldives, but we had such a fantastic and relaxing stay, we were looking forward to the seamless travel from the airplane transfer to our front door and knowing that we have a ‘big’ birthday approaching in 2017, we have a feeling that it won’t be long until we retur
